A New Sofa

For Christmas Reed and I decided to gift ourselves a new sofa! This is our first big purchase as a married couple so we wanted to be very careful with choosing our sofa. We looked around a lot and I looked around on Instagram to see if any of the people I was following had any suggestions, when I ran across the company Interior Define.

I began to search their website and and I fell in love with the design of  their sofas. They were all so clean cut and classic looking but still looked different than most sofas I had seen.

Reed and I narrowed it down between the Maxwell Sofa and the Caitlin.

They are both very different sofas, the Caitlin is more modern and sleek whereas the Maxwell has a more vintage vibe. I really liked the legs on both of these sofas as well, I liked the clean cut and the idea of the brass legs on the Caitlin but on the Maxwell the natural oak unique legs had me. That helped us to decide to move away from the modern, clean-cut look and go with the Maxwell!

It can be scary picking out a couch without having seen the couch in person first but we were able to order free swatches and we feel pretty confident in the work of Interior Define, especially based on the reviews on their website.

Now that we decided on the Maxwell and the legs we wanted, we had to pick our fabric. I was already pretty sure that I wanted velvet because who doesn’t loved velvet?! And it was such soft fabric, but I wasn’t sure what color. The great thing about the Interior Define website is that its super practical when shopping online for a couch because you can pick your fabric, color, and leg, and it lets you see what its going to look like and you also have a 360 view of the couch.

Since we were having trouble deciding which fabric we ordered our FREE swatches from Interior Define!

These swatches were some of the colors that we      were interested in.

After looking at the different swatches for a few weeks and Reed and I going back and forth several times, we finally landed on one….

This couch is such a beauty and I’ve been counting down the days till we get it. I’m definitely going to have to keep Theo and Roux (our pups) off of this couch!
